Privacy Policy for SolScope

1. Introduction

SolScope respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application handles your data. We built SolScope with a privacy-first approach: we do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers.

2. Data Collection & Storage

Local Data Storage

SolScope stores the following data exclusively on your device using Apple's UserDefaults:

• Your cryptocurrency portfolio (coin addresses and names)
• Alert settings and trigger history
• App preferences and subscription state

We do not operate our own servers to collect this data.

No User Accounts

We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide an email address to use SolScope.

3. Third-Party Services

To provide real-time market data, SolScope connects directly to the following public APIs from your device. These services may receive your device's IP address as part of a standard internet connection, but we do not send them any personal information.

Our Data Providers:

• CoinGecko — Used for major cryptocurrency prices and market data.
• DexScreener — Used for Solana memecoin data, token search, and trending tokens.
• Birdeye — Used for historical chart data and price history on tracked tokens.
• CoinCap.io — Supplementary large-cap cryptocurrency pricing.

Firebase (Google)

SolScope uses Firebase, a service by Google, for the following limited purposes:

• Firestore — To sync your active price alerts across your devices (optional cloud backup of alert data only).
• Crashlytics — To receive anonymous crash reports that help us fix bugs. Crash reports do not contain personally identifiable information.

Firebase may collect your device's anonymous installation ID for crash reporting. No personal data is linked to this identifier. You can review Google's privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Notifications

SolScope uses Apple Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver price alerts you have configured. These notifications are triggered by background market data checks on your device. We do not use push notifications for marketing purposes. You can disable notifications at any time in your iPhone Settings.

5. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

SolScope offers an optional SolScope Quant subscription, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

6. Analytics & Advertising

We do not use advertising networks. We do not sell your data. Anonymous crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) are the only form of diagnostic data we receive, and these cannot be linked to you personally.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Since your portfolio and alert data is stored locally on your device:

• Access: Open the app to view your data.
• Deletion: Delete the SolScope app from your iPhone to permanently erase all locally stored data. Cloud-synced alert data in Firebase will be automatically removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

SolScope is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
